About the FLY Fellows Program
The FLY Fellows program is a 9-month mentoring program where young graduates implement a social project in their local communities. Focus is on initiatives that advance the education of children and youth and improve the wellbeing of families.
How it works
Mentoring is a time proven strategy that can help young people achieve their potential. The fellowship connects qualifying youth to a mentor, like-minded peers and access to schools or centers where fellows implement their own community-based initiatives.
To qualify, applicants submit their plan to implement a project that enables them (with the help of VeryLoudYouth mentors) to solve a problem in their locality.
Who is a FLY Fellow?
Fellows are creative young people from all background looking to enhance their enterprising skills, as well as develop peers and the communities they live in.
The ideal FLY Fellow will must meet the following criteria.
- Is a graduate of a tertiary institution
- Has interest in education and community development
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Can commit to 9 months and at least 8 hours per week
